@Nulumia probably has some issues with the add-ons, but he always provided the best fixing the errors, or upload an update.
You guys have to give him some time, maybe he's not well or have some personal problems, I'm sure he will reply to everyone.

Is this a joke? It is among the worst developers from this point of view! Nothing is resolved after 9 months... Another point where he is among the worst is communication... I hope he is in good health but do not exaggerate, this guy failed with this add-on and we pay all the costs!

I am sorry, I didn't want to insult you with my post. To be honest, I've been away for some time, I use his add-ons in the past and didn't have any problems.

That was before he disappeared. He also updated this addon very recently which made it worse. He doesn't reply to support tickets and doesn't post at all to let anyone know what is going on. It is unacceptable really. We all supported him and he is screwing us. I don't care about the money. I just want the stupid errors fixed.

This is from late last night until now..

The only fix is to uninstall until it is stable.

Alpha/Beta software should never be run on a live forum, and even release candidates should be tested before you add them live.

I know that but it doesn't negate the fact that he doesn't inform anyone of anything.

And I've had this running on a live site since it went live. It was the last update that broke everything.

Then I guess you have two options either uninstall or install the version that worked?
I don't think getting angry at developer will speed up getting a new version.

Thanks for your input but you do you. I think I'm one of many people who are pissed about the developer disappearing after we all paid for this. I was actually defending him before.

risking your site is not worth whatever minor improvement these add-ons will bring.
And this is what a lot of people don’t realise. They would be very minor improvements, but some people maybe think an SEO addon is going to be a magic bullet to Google success.

The amount of time spent fine-tuning individual threads is better spent getting better content and investing into the site as a whole 🤷‍♂️.

There are also tools that allow you to do theoretical testing for SEO via A/B testing (obviously aren't perfect) but is a better investment than a singular SEO solution, because then you can see what may actually work for your site.

It's why I also laugh at most people who call themselves SEO specialists, because other than going down a best practices checklist each site almost always requires a specific plan for optimization because not all content or strategies work for most sites. There has never been a silver bullet for success for SEO, so acting as such is just silly.

Well ofcourse it isn't a silver bullet. It is very helpful though for many things that are important. Like I mentioned in the past, one feature that is important to me is being able to add separate meta descriptions for nodes. The reason I use them is because most of my nodes contain html and I want my meta to contain text only. The schema is also very important and relevant. There are a few other things as well but those are my top 2. By implementing those things does it mean I will rank higher? Probably not without good content, internal linking and a good backlink profile.

Now the nulumia forum is closed. I really hope he fixes this because I can’t even delete the add-on because of how buggy it is.

Disable listeners in your config.php and then uninstall.
I've tried that but get MySQL errors.

XF\Db\Exception: MySQL statement prepare error [1054]: Unknown column 'nl_seo_effective_allow_index' in 'where clause' in src/XF/Db/AbstractStatement.php at line 230
