XF 1.3 Outdated templated doing my nut in

So i am new to Xenforo and forums in general and i am finding it a steep learning curve.

Anyway, just when i thought i had everything nearly ready, i update Xenforo and then my template UIX dark and now i have these outdated templates, which i haven't got any idea how to fix them.

The thing is i know i can ask for help here and somebody will guide me on how to fix it, but the next time it happens i will have to ask again, and again... all because i don't understand how it works.

Would i be best deleting the Audentio template and just making a child of UIX and then i won't ever get outdated template issues because i won't be using one? Or am i misunderstanding this and it will still happen?

The style has not been updated for the latest XenForo release.

You will need to seek support from the author.

So this will be a recurring theme when using templates from companies who are slow to update etc? Brogan would a layman like myself be better off not using templates?

If i just made a child of UIX and changed that would i get the same problems in the future or not?

My question is about Xenforo not a third party add on. I am asking that if i don't use third party templates and instead just make a child of UIX will i get outdated template issues?

You can't use XenForo without using templates.

You are still using a third party style.

Contact the author for support or an updated style compatible with the version of XenForo you are running.
