Odd Error RewriteEngine

When trying to add content to Media Gallery, it adds when I try to add any media.

I have re-installed it.

I have cleared it's cache.

I checked the .htaccess files and
Options +FollowSymlinks

RewriteEngine on
Are added.

I still get the error:
[Wed Feb 25 20:53:54 2015] [error] [client 67.176.96.246] File does not exist: /home/dig1tal9/public_html/forums/media, referer: http://forums.digitaldownload.com/media/add

It hangs (this is from a tail of the error_log) and eventually times out. The developers say it is not their code. FollowSymLinks is enabled as a global option for Apache.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm confused as to what the error is exactly.

I see an error log entry, but I'm not clear what the error being seen in the browser is, for example. I also don't follow what you're referring to about the .htaccess file -- where is that specifically? What's the significance of those added lines? (Why were they added?)
