Just wondering if there is a MyBB convertor?
That's the only reason I can't move to XF as well. I'm currently on SMF. Would be nice if we had converters.
you can convert both of those with vBulletin's IMPEX.
Get xenfans.com to do it for you for $45.
Or seeing as I know you fluffy, I will do it for free
I wish you knew me too. LOL
Thanks for pointing that out.
Yea sounds like IMPEX is your best bet. I tried to convert a few database to IPB, but IPB just flat out gave me template error : / Posted for assistance on their official forum with 0 replies...
Do you have a license? I don't know of any forum software developers that provide support to non-license holders.
I also own a license incase you are wondering
I recognize your username.
Enough derailing from me!
I didn't open a ticket because I wasn't converting for myself. Was trying to help someone on this forum to convert their database over. And turned out I couldn't help
I read others running into this same problem too. They did open tickets and IPB staff was able to fix the problem for them as I understand.
My thread was posted in the customer's support forum.
I too have MyBB, though I might someday move over to XF. The other problem, is that I use custom addons which might make the transition rather difficult.
For future reference, the current importers are listed in the FAQ.
Which importers/converters are available?
As of 27 May 2011, there were the following importers available:
There are official vBulletin 3.6 and vBulletin 3.7/3.8 importers built in to the software.
There is an official IP.Board 3.1.x importer built in to the software.
An unofficial vBulletin 4.0/4.1 importer is available as an add-on.
An unofficial PunBB 1.2/1.3 importer is available as an add-on.
An unofficial SMF 2 importer is currently being developed.
Thanks for the importer list. Would like a native MyBB importer, but I'm sure XenFans can do it.
The custom add on will not have any influence on the conversion. You can uninstall them prior to the conversion if you want.
I presume he means his site/members would miss the functionality of the add-ons.
Ah, I see. I misunderstood him then.
One of my major addons is an SEO mod for MyBB, and there is no URL redirector for it.
Unless someone could make one for me.
