My first try at coding for xF resultet in a byproduct: a way to add/remove buttons to the editor (the icons themselves, that is).
I have released it here: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/cel-editor-button-management.19991
However, I'd much rather see this in the core and suggest moving the editor configuration stuff, that at the moment is still in js moved to one or more templates. This way, template conditonals can be applied, and existing buttons removed easily.
