The member homepage field should be a usergroup setting. I haven't been using Xenforo long but have been deleting homepage spammers since I installed it. I am actually removing that field entirely right now because it has become such an issue. If we could allow/deny based on usergroup, we could prevent new users from using it while allowing the next bumped up usergroup to use it. I was actually shocked that it wasn't controlled by usergroup options. I was looking for where I could turn it off before i saw others asking the same thing and being told to run queries and edit templates. SMH

There's a simple solution to that. Set 'Edit profile' to 'No' for any user group that you don't want to be able to put a home page in their profile.

No, that prevents any editing of the user's profile. They can't edit Personal Details or Signature.
