    Hi,

I like to automate adding sub-cats as follows

    NODE1
    Category1
    NODE2
    Category2
    NODE3
    Category3

    - sub-cat1
    - sub-cat2
    - sub-cat3

    Category4
    Category5 ~ 20

But I want to add these 3 sub-cats to all 20 categories within NODE3

Is there a smart way to automate this as I don't feel like typing this 100 times.

You can keep clicking 'back' in your browser to resubmit the 'add forum' page with different parent nodes. That is a faster way to manually add the forums to each category. But there is no option to mass-add those forums to multiple categories.

If you aren't afraid of SQL, you can copy and paste INSERT queries and adapt the numbers in them.

The node table uses nested sets so you would have to ensure the lgt and rgt were correct for all nodes, not just the new ones.
