I was hoping someone could suggest me a good Mac app to take notes in class. Something more simple than word and with utilities more helpful on taking notes in class.

Take a look at NoteTaker from AquaMinds Software... Not sure how well it would working class but it works great for taking notes during meetings.

I love evernote simply because of the fact, I can tie it in with my smartphone app and not lose anything.

I was just gonna suggest Evernote, and the fact that is it free makes it even better.

Microsoft just released a version of OneNote for iOS, it's in the App Store.

What are you using now Lucas?
I use the Notes app that comes with my iphone and mac.
iCloud to sync them all. If I want to I can switch from icloud to gmail services to sync.

I use this too... But back then, there was no "official" notes app. Came with Lion or Mountain Lion, if I'm not mistaken.
