Hello guys, could anyone care to explain the logic behind why i can't make a profile post without setting it to my status? if the logic is well, ill leave it alone :)

When I try to visit your profile, it shows me a no-permission message.
What needs to be done to view it?

You need to be a follower to view it.

I'm your follower (sounds funny!) now; but I still get that error.

You post a status message which is displayed on your card, and in your profile so followers can comment on it.

No, you have to follow that person.

A lot of it has to do with confusion in trying to do two separate things and what the most likely thing is. Allowing separate updates would simply create confusion and UI clutter for minimal benefit. (As an aside, FB updates your "status" when you try to post on your wall.)
