XF 1.4 Logged Out After Upgrade

What exactly causes every user to be logged out after upgrading the forum? This happens every time the forum gets ugpraded, and users get very annoyed.

I would think it's cookie based, so I can't imagine what part of upgrading the forum would be causing this behavior, but it happens on several forums every single time we upgrade.

I can't say I've ever experienced that, on multiple sites.

Are all of these forums on the same server?
Is anything like cloudflare being used?

They are on the same server, come to think of it. Cloudflare, etc., not being used. Yeah, it's really weird. Has been happening every single upgrade for a long time now.

Looks like you're right. Just set up a test forum on another server (basically the exact same configuration) and it's fine. Really strange. Wouldn't even know where to start looking on this one, I'm afraid.

This happened to me when upgrading from 1.5.11 to 1.5.12.

I had just recently switched to HTTPS, so not sure if that was a factor.

Any ideas about what might be causing it?

If you have multiple licenses, using files from different licenses would also cause that. (Make sure you only use the files from the associated license, particularly if each license doesn't have access to the same versions.)
