XF 1.2 Issue after conversion from MyBB

Discussion in 'Troubleshooting and Problems' started by Sal Collaziano, Oct 28, 2013.

  1. Hey all... I'm having an interesting issue. It appears my users from BEFORE the upgrade are having trouble accessing the community. New users - no problem. Is this an issue caused by something common that I've overlooked? The site is http://kiaforteforum.com/

    Thank you...

Can you explain what issues they're having specifically? What behavior are they seeing? Is it an incorrect password message?
  3. Here's what one user is seeing via Internet Explorer (attached images).

He also said the following: "Site now opens with chrome, but can not edit my posts, can not operate any mod functions, member list ends with clover joining in 2011".

    Any ideas?

Well, if you can submit a ticket and provide login details of a user with problems, we can look into it. Some of the errors reported there shouldn't have anything to do with old accounts except for lacking permissions (which always need to be checked after an import). The member list comment is a little confusing as there's nothing that lists members by registration date out of the box.

However, in the screenshots, there's an issue loading the CSS -- it's possible there are browser add-ons incorrectly manipulating it or something between your server and them that's preventing it from working. Without being able to reproduce it (and I don't expect I would), it's not something we could make any recommendations about.
  5. I THINK things are getting worked out. The only issue I may be having at this point is with Internet Explorer... Is that, by chance, a popular issue?

I just looked at your forum -- you've added some HTML at the top of the <head> tag (rather than in the <body>). This is causing various issues. Check your PAGE_CONTAINER modifications.
  7. Thank you. Okay. I just changed this... Any better?

Yes, it appears correctly in IE now as well.
