A screen for a user that would show what permissions they have board wide for each ability and then maybe a cheater box that shows what user group affected the user to give them that final permission?

It would also have to factor in user and node permissions.

No such functionality exists but it'd be great if it did. You should get this moved to suggestions.

As well the ability to assume a users permissions to test out what they can do. I think the permission system in Xenforo is VERY nice, but is complicated and requires a bit of testing. So many times I have had to reset someones password and assume their user to make sure my edits worked (with their permission). I don't want access to 'their' stuff, just their permissions.

You can use the test permissions feature for that.

NM. Found it. Feel like a tool that it might have been there a while and I didn't notice it.
