Internal Server Error during installation

    Why is my forum shutting down after few seconds of installation ?

    Is there anything in the Apache logs?

    Also, have you confirmed that the server meets the requirements?

    XenForo System Requirements

    • PHP: 5.2.4+
    • MySQL: 5.0+
    • PHP extensions: MySQLi, GD (with JPEG support), PCRE, SPL, SimpleXML, DOM, JSON, iconv, ctype
    • PHP safe_mode off

    Thanks you very much for the quick awnser Brogan. Yes my server seem to meet all the requirements.

    What about the Apache error logs?
    Is there anything related to the installation?

    It's ok I found it. One minute looking for something related with installation in it.

    do you have an vps or are you on a shared host?

    Who's the owner of the directory?

    Pls stop using it, until you know how to use it.

    I know, it sounds strange, but everything "non managed" for people which aren't knowing what they're doing is dangerous and can be really expensive, once your machine stops, your pages are offline and you need an real pro to fix it...!
    (i know what i'm talking about, it happened to me some years ago ... :(

    PS: I don't get what does sudo chmod -R g-w,o-w /home/XXXX/public_html/install" mean ...

    I upgraded MySQL and it is working fine now.

    5.0 I think, it wasn't outdated. Maybe my host made something I didn't know.
