Importing from IPB

I'm currently running IPB 3.2.3 so I'm looking for advice on importing.

1. What username will my members have after importing to xenforo? i.e. IPB has a display name and a username system so which one will act as their login/display name?
2. Is it possible to choose what to import? i.e. members and forums but not threads/posts?
3. Is there anything which the importer will not import? i.e user fields etc?

1) The IPB importer uses a source field called "name" as the username.

2) Yes you can choose to run only some of the modules. But some modules are dependent on others. For example, you can't import threads without forums.

3) The IPB importer has the following modules:

userGroups
userFields
users
avatars
privateMessages
profileComments
statusUpdates
forums
forumPermissions
moderators
threads
polls
attachments
reputation

Understood.

I had a look in my database and the "name" column refers to the login name, not the display name which makes sense.
