How to segment TapaTalk Users in Google Analytics?

It would be pretty nice to know how to segment TapaTalk users in Google analytics. I know it's an app, but might there be a way?

I doubt anything shows up in analytics for Tapatalk users. The Google analytics code in the template is never loaded. The apps plugin is pulling data from the database directly.

That is discouraging - and good points. Isn't there a placeholder for GA ID in the TapaTalk Dashboard or is that just if you pay?

Yes, create a new profile for your sites Tapatalk and place the ID in there.

That linked thread appears to indicate that if you use Universal GA that you don't need a new profile. Any truth to that?

Possibly, I have not set up any new sites recently. All our sites are using the older method. Best to ask within that thread.
