XF 1.2 How to apply a modification?

I created a modification but it gets not applied how you can see here:

What I have to do to apply it?

Are you actually doing a "find" on the whole template?

You may be better off just editing it.

I have never used the modification. I allways used the extra.css or edited the templates but now I have seen that I can en- and disable the modifications. That's why I used the modification but if this is not working with the full template then I will edit it directly.
