How heavy is it on the server to have a long list of auto-correction words

    XF allows for auto-correction of spelling errors like:

    Z enForo => XenForo

    (without the space after Z)

    But what if we would extend this to a list of let's say 100 or even 1000 different words/corrections, and a lot of threads/posts get corrected. How heavy would that be on the server? And would it be advisable at all?

    Good question - I'd be using that feature a lot for games.

    i actually use the feature in vb+vbseo that expands short keywords to their full form. so this can be used for that as well!

    It's really no different from censoring a bunch of words. So there is some overhead, but it's as minimal as possible. Probably not enough to worry about.
