Forum Notices Styling Question

Why don't you just have some preamble text and a link to a locked thread?

Instead of a huge notice taking up most of the page.

Because it's part of my immaculate notices system scheme.

And for every notice I create, I also need to create a thread? this just doesn't seem logical and wouldn't really warrant having a notices system at all, I may aswell use the "sticky" feature.

Edit: I'd also need the notices system removed from thread view and new post/thread view.

You asked for ideas, I just gave one.

Other than that you can try editing the core .js to remove the function which fixes the height to the largest notice.

The content will be bouncing up and down though as the notices cycle.

js/xenforo/xenforo.js > XenForo.PanelScroller > resizeItems()
Sorry to be a right pain in the arse, but what do I add or remove from xenforo.js? I'm unable to find resizeItems() in that file, and if I'm meant to add it, where exactly do I add it?

I didn't say it would be easy! What you are describing is a fundamental alteration to the operation of the notices system. It would probably be quicker to write a new system from scratch.

Oh right, that's a shame I was looking forward to notices too lol. Thanks for your help though :)
