Lack of interest for xf1.3: suggestion how to eliminate spammers once in for all

Spammers register to increase their seo by posting clickable url in our forums..
they do the ff:
-add spammers website to HOMEPAGE in members_view & account_personal_details
-add spammers website to ABOUT in members_view & account_personal_details
-add spammers website to post using URL clickable link

Suggestion:
1. Option to hide the "homepage" in personal details and during registration
2. Option to hide the "about" in personal details and during registration
3. permission settings in permissions tab using bbcode URL in usergroups
4. add time limit & number of post before he can edit a post (will not allow spammers that will edit a valid post later on to spam..)


if we can have those, we solve the spammer problem once in for all!
spammers will not register to our site due to its useless for them.
-there is no website url clickable therefor useless for SEO ranking

Links on xF forums are already useless to spammers due to the nofollow tag. Additionally, you can do some your self, you can disallow robots to index your members profiles. I have done that as well, still get spam profiles.

The cost of signing up to one site is so low for spammers, they don't care about the individual results. If they have lists available to them with sites, they just press play and let it do its work, and if your site is on that list, you will be spammed regardless of them not being able to spam you.

yes but on human side, a clickable url is still a valid spam.
so
the non-clickable spam link is less evil than a working clickable spam links.
pure text without working links is less evil than pure text with working url link

the human spammer will avoid posting

The human spammer will sign up regardless, as not every script allows for full profile customization during the registration process. It is much easier then to just have the first 5 - 10 messages a user post to be moderated, cause the profile spam is mostly harmless, the noisy spam is what you want to deal with, and that is posts on your forum.

You can do it now using the free addons now instead of waiting for 1.3
We don't even know when 1.2 is releases, let alone 1.3

Unfortunately that's not going to happen. phpBB tried that.

In phpBB 2 everyone could see user's profiles, including search engines. It was spammer's dream come true.

In phpBB 3 to combat spammers, only registered users can see other user's profiles. Spam registrations became completely pointless. Did spammers stop? Nope. They didn't even slow down. Every forum that doesn't have Q&A captcha enabled is getting hundreds of spam registrations.
