    Got this when trying to post a long message on GeeksChat - however I have max. characters set to 15,000 and the post content is 4694 so it doesn't seem to be that.

    I'll try posting the exact same thing after this post and see if it will post here at the XF forums ...

    Are you using a lot of BB Code or trying to upload a Base64 encoded image?

    Yes ... same error.

    I'll attach it here as an RTF doc text doc in case anyone else wants to experiment - but there must be some other arbitrary limit in place that I'm not seeing/managing to bring to mind?
