Dumb question – how the hell can I let guests view forums.

OK, I’ve set-up a test site this evening, imported data from my vB4 test site, all seems to have gone well except you can only view the forums if you login.

I’ve set ‘User Group Permissions: Unregistered / Unconfirmed’ to allow for both ‘view’ and ‘view node’, but I can’t see anything when logged out.

What on earth am I missing?

Check into the node permissions section - are there things set there for the guests / unconfirmed group? As they have global viewing permissions, otherwise the page wouldn't come up like that; so it must be at the node level.

Thanks, but I tried all the rebuilds earlier and just done it again, yet still nothing shows for guests.

I had checked various forum permissions via the node permissions section and they were set correctly, but what I hadn't done was check the various categories, which had different permissions - I've changed them now and that has solved the problem.
