Can we display a visual representation of [quote] in the editor-contents for quick replies?

I've always found this incredibly annoying (and ugly):

Does TinyMCE provide the option to display quotes as an html element (only for client-side preview)? Can we simply replace the quote text blocks with an html element via JS regex in realtime? Perhaps some clever JS would be best here.

I read through more of the TinyMCE docs and couldn't find anything that would work, at least not relating to how Xenforo has the editor implemented.

I'd really like to see these portrayed visually instead of displaying bbCode. It's one of those quirks that has been bothering me for a long time. Frankly, I think it looks horrible. In 2013 we don't need to see raw bbCode as a default, certainly not in a "rich text" editor.

Any ideas?
