XF 2.2 Article layout columns of 2

I found this resource and tried inserting the code into the extra.less template but nothing changes. How do I get our articles layout to show 2 articles per row instead of 1, 2, 2, 4, 4......? Our site is www.talkingevs.com and the articles page is at https://www.talkingevs.com/forums/articles-resources.45/. Thanks in advance.

However, it looks like one of the articles is pinned/stickied, which likely accounts for it, but it works as expected on my local.

I posted it here because the resource code isn't working for us and was curious if anyone else did any customizing to get it to work that way. I found one other thread with the same request from last month with no responses, but Im holding out hope. Just to make sure, I'm posted that code into the extra.less template? Because when we do that, it doesn't change anything.

Then either it's the wrong style or something else is overriding it.
