XF 2.2 Adding to New Posts Front Page

I have Latest Posts set as the front page. Few questions:

1. How can I increase the number of Latest Posts shown?
2. How can I add below Latest Posts the latest posts from a specific category?
3. How can I show latest media uploads below the above?

I don't mean widgets in the sidebar.

Sorry. Note sure what you mean. I know I can create a page node but then how do I make the site first page be that? Also, does it work the same way the New Posts page does?

I was hoping to just modify the New Posts standard page.

You said Latest Posts which is different and shows read posts. If you look at the What's New page the top widget is Latest Posts. If you put this on a page you can set how many posts you want to see as well as put the media widget under it.

Sorry - in Options I have set up New Posts as the homepage. I know I can create a new page node but how do I make it the homepage?
