^ that would be over stretching thread prefixes

making a basic tag system like vb, should be easy enough ; am willing to donate if someone comes forward

If you think about it prefix can be used in a way the same as tags, maybe limited somewhat, but at least you have more control over them. Thing with TAGS, they are only useful if when clicked they show a page with all threads using the same tags. Much like how wordpress works and why it's such a great feature in it.

Tags can be indexed in search sites which gives you more listings. As far as I know prefixes cant do this.

I used to love tags.
Can someone convince me to love them again ?
I think their SEO benefits aren't massive.
Do they help in forum organization such that users use them ?
Anyone with vBulletin Tags experience that just loved it ?

I must admit I find the Forum > Thread >Post structure very limiting ... so .... I want to like Tags ... but .. I'm not feeling the love for them anymore.

Are Tags useful ? Any real life proof examples ?
