I think of myself as fairly tech savvy but had an issue with changing PHP version on my wordpress site which resulted in a white screen of death which I was unable to resolve. I knew it was probably not too technical but owing to the fact this was around 12:30a.m. on the Canadian West Coast I wrote an email to support thinking it would be next day before I possibly could get any feedback.

To my shock and surprise IT support responded to my email barely 2 minutes after I hit the send button!

Their feedback was professional and from the response I knew my IT support guy was knowledgeable due to how he responsed. I was unable to resolve the issue on my end that night (Internet Provider caching issues which was out of my control) but A2 followed up with me early next morning and everything was resolved.

I have been a webmaster for almost 2 years now. I was on a shared plan in the past but my site kept going down with memory issues and the speed was a concern.

After lots of research I decided to make the switch to a Virtual Private Server (VPS) with A2Hosting due to their focus on high speed. They certainly haven't disappointed! I have been with many different hosts and had many different experiences with them, good and bad, so when I accidentally stumbled across A2 at first I was unsure by their claims but WOW! They are by far the best hosts i have ever been with!!

One month ago I bought a SSD wordpress hosting solution from A2 and payed 2 years for it in advance because I read some really positive reviews. Well I can confirm that I did well and those reviews told the truth. A2 is great but even if they offer unlimited features, SSD servers, ect, I can say that the greatest feature they have is customer support. I had a couple of issues and those guys solved them immediately and their answers were always accurate and well thought. Customer support is really important and since it's 16 years that I work on websites and used a lot of different hosting providers, I can safely tell you that A2 is probably the one that gave me the best answers and the fastest responses.

I do not know what A Hosting is not replying to me. I have put in a ticket and had two replies that they are going to answer me. The last time I contacted them was nearly a full day, and still no reply to my query neither there or here. I have just sent another reminder to them. (?????)

I can upgrade HostPapa who answer quickly, but for the last time, but wanted to find out about A2 first. Am I doing something wrong?

For anyone else, it's always best to contact a hosting company directly on their own website rather than on XenForo (which is how you are asked to contact them in the first post of this thread). Also sales departments for web hosts don't always work at weekends (emergency support does work 24/7 though).

Apologies for the delayed response! I can assure you we're not ignoring you :). Martok is correct in that our sales department does not operate 24/7 (though our support team does). Given your query, your ticket would have ended up in our sales queue.

To answer your question, we don't normally provide free domain transfers though if you provide me with your ticket ID I'll see what I can do for you.

Aha thanks again! The ticket quote he provided via PM mentioned a domain transfer so that is where the confusion came from. Good news if it isn't, cPanel site transfers are free :)

@kadona - If it is a website transfer you're after (transferring your files, emails etc) from your former provider and not the domain name then this is free and we'll take care of it for you, if your old provider runs on cPanel. I have replied to your PM again including all the details we need to make this a successful transfer :).

Your shared hosting (turbo) mentions opcache and memcached so I am wondering if this really is available or just mentioned there name sake. Please let me know what php handler you use on your shared hosting and also how would I connect to memcached for xenforo.

Thanks for considering A2 Hosting. Absolutely not for namesake and is a feature you can opt for on our Turbo plans. For the PHP handler, we use LSPHP as our Turbo servers run on LiteSpeed.

As for memcached, we have some instructions here: https://www.a2hosting.com/kb/instal...b-Hosting-and-Turbo-Reseller-Hosting-accounts and the official xenForo page is a great resource: https://xenforo.com/help/cache/ (memcached at the bottom).
