I am currently using another system to allow people to vote Threads. Migrating to XF2.2 will make this addon redundant as XF 2.2 already has the "Suggestion" forum type which is super cool and needed.
So I already have the thread_id and the user_id from the old voting system.
I wrote a...
I probably already know the answer but I thought I'd better ask to be sure.
Are XF ajax responses encoded or is this done in the XF template system? Meaning, can they be safely used in .html() in an external app?
Some users have reported that they don't always receive email when a reply is posted on a topic they are watching.
The email is setup and working perfectly. No errors within the admin area, no errors in postfix logs.
Now I need to verify whether this is normal or not. If I watch a...
As the title says, I'd like to serve all static content of my theme (not running the default one) via CDN. (at least the images)
I thought of writing an add-on to replace the links before rendering. I assume that would work? This way I can switch it on/off with a click of a button instead...
I had Registration disabled and after upgrading (from 2.1.2 to 2.1.7) I found out (after being bombarded by bot registrations) that it was enabled after the upgrade.
Is it by design or could it be there was a glitch in my installation?
I get this weird issue and I am not sure if it's a configuration issue or a bug. Most probably a config error as it would have been reported by many others if it was the latter.
Whenever a topic gets moderated by Akismet, users can still see it and reply to it even though it hasn't been...
I use a script to create threads externally. Works fine. I want however whenever I create a new thread to have another thread created which will be a redirect of the first.
a) Create thread in forum A
b) Create a thread in forum B which will be redirecting to the thread in forum A
I have upgraded from 1.5 to 2.1 and everything works fine except from the statistics. The numbers shown are completely wrong.
It's like it's showing averages or something, even though the numbers don't add up anw.
This is not only for new posts/topics/registrations after the upgrade but...
I'd like to enable some addon-specific class extensions when the addon is enabled and disable them when it's disabled.
So I added a checkbox in the addon options to control enable/disable.
What is the best way to deal with the class extensions?
a) Create a call back validation function...
I've upgraded from 1.5 to 2.X and I have the following issue. Non-logged in users always see the first category of the forum as unread no matter what.
I've tried clearing caches, different browsers etc but still the same.
Has anyone else seen such thing before?
I have edited page_container and added some extra HTML code in the header and the CSS of it in extra.less. (edited page container = used the template modification)
The problem is when the page is loaded the newly added header section is shown broken for about a second until the extra css...
I am getting an error that some files have been changed and to review them. I made the changes in those files so they are OK.
Is there any way I can mark those files as "Reviewed" so that the error goes away? Or is there any way I can tell Xenforo that the current state of those files is...
I have development/debug mode on yet I cannot delete a template, only revert. I would like to delete one I created and also detach one from my add-on.
I assume editing /_data/templates.xml won't work because that is automatically created. Do I manually edit the database?
I want to setup an event listener on my addon to change the registration URL to something else (external). When user clicks on Register it should take them to the link I specify.
I thought I should listen to router_public_setup but it doesn't seem to be the case?
