    Monetization Documentation

Thank you for the response, that's all I needed to know. Client was asking for it and I looked a bit silly not knowing where it was.

    Monetization Documentation

@Brogan Curious why this thread was moved from the questions and support forum; instead of just answered? The documentation literally references a section no one can seem to find...

    Monetization Documentation

Has anything been written or updated on the User Upgrades / Monetization feature this year? There's a vague reference in the 2.0 manual (below) but nothing else I can find. Searches here also seem to be limited to a few simple questions and answers.

XF 2.0 Need to grab user avatar

Just the URL. So that should work. One question, what will it return if the user has not yet set an avatar and just has the letter w/ the random color?

XF 2.0 Need to grab user avatar

I need to grab the user avatar for an external settings page. What is the correct way to do this? It seems especially tricky since the default "avatar" is the letter in the users name and a random color. If it helps I already have an instance of XF running on this external page load.

XF 2.0 Hard link to css files outside Xenforo

Ok, so the date is just there to force a current pull of the css file to avoid caching? If so I can easily recreate that, I just thought maybe there were "versions" of the css that XF held onto.

XF 2.0 Hard link to css files outside Xenforo

After doing some more testing, it does load the css with only the style_id and language variables. However, it doesn't seem to change when I make changes to extra.less. Am I still doing this incorrectly? Or is there a caching issue with the browsers w/o the time stamp from the date variable?

XF 2.0 Hard link to css files outside Xenforo

Thank you! Do you know if any of them are optional? Or is there a better way to get the current css values?

XF 2.0 Hard link to css files outside Xenforo

My site has both XF and non-XF content. As a result it is necessary for me to recreate some of the XF menus and styles outside XF (on the same domain). I've tracked down the 3 css files I need and was using them successfully; but it appears there are some variables tagged onto the end that...

Massive Spike in Fake Referrals from Real Sites?

I've also noticed the fake referrals increase on some of my sites lately. Here's an older but pretty informative article about what is most likely the cause / motive behind this practice: https://www.optimizesmart.com/geek-guide-removing-referrer-spam-google-analytics/

XF 2.0 Easiest way to call a php script

Thanks! I was missing $content, so that makes sense then. What does $content contain?

XF 2.0 Easiest way to call a php script

    Actually, it threw an error when I tried to call the function as getthis('16); It simply displayed an empty array when I tried to var_dump $params;

XF 2.0 Easiest way to call a php script

I tried adding $params as a function variable and calling it explicitly, but I must have had the syntax wrong because it threw an error.

XF 2.0 Easiest way to call a php script

I'm not sure if this is the correct way or not, but I was able to get this to work as follows. <?php namespace MyCallbacks; class myClass { public static function getthis() { $arguments = func_get_arg(1); $xfuserid = $arguments[0]...

XF 2.0 Easiest way to call a php script

That worked! Thank you. Now I've realized that it appears the compile order prohibits use of the session variables in my callback script. What would the command be to pass that function something to identify the user such as the XF_usernumber?

XF 2.0 Easiest way to call a php script

I found someone who posted an example like this: <?php namespace MyFirstCallback; class genericClassName { public static function getthis() { return 'Hello world!'; } } ?> <xf:callback class="MyFirstCallback\genericClassName" method="getthis"></xf:callback> But I'm...

XF 2.0 Easiest way to call a php script

Thanks for the reply @yoloswaggerino Surely there's got to be a reasonably easy way. All I'm trying to do is add a numeric character at the top of the nav bar. If I go the route of creating a callback tag and then a callback class script; where does that go?

XF 2.0 Easiest way to call a php script

I need to call a very simple php script to return a user value and display it in the nav bar. What is the easiest (correct) way to do this? Can you make the call inside a style with the additional html? Or does it need to be inside a template? Or are there other restrictions?
