XF 2.1 Site crash after update

After a bit of debugging, my best guess is PHP opcode cache corruption, as the result from __DIR__ (which XF uses to detect the source directory) had a null byte appended to it. The act of me debugging this had me changing the file and then the issue seemed to disappear. No idea what would have...

XF 2.1 Site crash after update

If you submit a ticket via your customer area with FTP (or similar) access details I can try to debug it. (Mention this thread in the ticket.)

XF 2.1 Site crash after update

The error message mentioned doesn't make any sense to me. It's erroring when trying to read the config file and it's complaining about the file path itself. The file path mostly comes from the server itself. A bit of Googling seems to imply that the path may contain null characters, but that...

Browser issue page numbering invisible on Chrome 84.0.4147.30

My report has now been closed and fixed, so hopefully it'll be sorted for the next builds.

I doubt we'd do any sort of full redirect to the content (as that would necessarily not show you some confirmation pages which may potentially have significant information), but we have tracked a task internally to investigate whether we can make it clearer when there is a pending action and...

It was an overlay but it was changed primarily for UX reasons (notably surrounding the overlay being dismissed and not being recoverable because it was triggered through a POST action). Drafts wouldn't be saved as they are attached to a user record.

Fixed Jquery 3.3.1 Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

The fix in jQuery 3.5 also has some backwards compatibility breaks (we know of 1 area where it broke something and these are subtle to find) and we're not aware of an exploitable situation given the type of data that we pass into the affected function, so we've taken the decision to defer the...

    XF 2.2 Writing before registering

Just to clarify, this really doesn't have much to do with user upgrades and exposing them to guests would probably be a pretty significant undertaking (as they are strongly tied to the user that initiates them and it's a multi stage process, comparatively different to a "simple" reply or thread...

Yes, it's the standard registration form.

XF 2.1 One PayPal Account, IPNs, 2 Sites

You could theoretically just point the default IPN URL to a random other URL (not the "standard" one). That needs to be a "valid" page as PayPal will expect a normal HTTP response, but that would avoid the calls being logged.

XF 2.1 One PayPal Account, IPNs, 2 Sites

IPNs do need to be enabled in your PayPal account. If they're not, then they generally won't be sent at all. The URL you set in PayPal doesn't really matter, but one does need to be set there, so we recommend you set it to the "actual" IPN URL. Each request we make to PayPal will set the IPN...

XF 2.1 Xenforo 2.1.9 cannot copy and paste to hotlink images from clipboard with image attachments turned off (worked in 1.5)

Well the data comes from the browser itself, but it is being accessed via JS in Froala. So regarding the distinction I talked about, I have been able to workaround hotlinked images being stripped out unexpectedly. This would generally apply to highlighting text (that includes an image). But in...

XF 2.1 Xenforo 2.1.9 cannot copy and paste to hotlink images from clipboard with image attachments turned off (worked in 1.5)

The key part was this part of your post: Assume attachments are enabled for now since you can see the differences. Based on this particular explanation, you're getting an [IMG] tag. Nothing is being uploaded, the image is hotlinked. This is the situation where there is no binary representation...

XF 2.1 Xenforo 2.1.9 cannot copy and paste to hotlink images from clipboard with image attachments turned off (worked in 1.5)

That's sort of different from what the original post was about and admittedly that is sort of weird. Though I'll say all of this stuff does end up being controlled deep within Froala -- we generally don't have a great way to override these behaviors. In terms of the original post -- where you...

As it stands, yes and this is something we debated about. Given that there are limits to the number of results, filtering/re-sorting will potentially give incorrect/misleading results.

XF 2.2 Search forums, SEO improvements and dev team news

It's powered by the same system that powers batch update threads, so you can look at that on your forum to understand the general criteria options there, though there are a couple tweaks in 2.2. It does support both prefix and custom field components. As it stands, you wouldn't be able to...

Whether a link is nofollow'd is controlled by a permission now, so you can specifically apply it to your admins and moderators if you want. (Or more correctly, not disable it.) It's up to how you want to set it up. Some people may want "trusted" users to have their links dofollowed.

XF 2.2 Search forums, SEO improvements and dev team news

FWIW, you can actually filter on tags. It wasn't shown there as it was actually tweaked very recently, but the thread searcher (which is used for batch thread updates too) does now allow that.

XF 2.2 Search forums, SEO improvements and dev team news

The short answer there is no. It's the thread searcher (as is probably clear from the screen shot), which exposes options that aren't directly exposed to searches, so it's basically just done in SQL.
