I have a section of the forum where Resource Manager creates a new thread whenever a user makes a resource.
Question is: is it possible to prevent users from creating new threads in that node, without impacting Resource Manager's thread creation?
Our node tree has suddenly stopped displaying the Create [Sibling/Child] option in the Node Tree.
Max columns in the Default Layout Options is set to 7, and only 5 columns are displayed (instead of 6).
We have 501 nodes.
Is it possible that a server setting is causing the node list...
We have a head-scratcher. Whenever an admin creates a node, the rebuild takes over ten minutes. When they apply permissions to that node, rebuild takes over ten minutes. Installing or upgrading an addon can take over ten minutes. Basically whenever the permissions need rebuilding they...
Morning! Quick question: Is there a way to prevent new users initiating conversations until they've hit X posts? I do also have Conversation Essentials installed, so I've found the options to add those conversations to a filter tab, but I'd prefer to just prevent the spammers haranguing my users...
We have some node-level content moderators who only have mod access to those specific subforums.
But it looks like they might also be able to see reported items, and the comments on those reported items? Should they be able to, or is there a glitch in the Matrix?
All right. We've had the obligatory accident.
I've found this SQL to restore deleted threads.
UPDATE xf_thread SET node_id = 38 WHERE node_id = 118
What would I need to fiddle with to recover deleted nodes?
My missing nodes are IDs 186, 187 and 188. Their new parent needs to be 477.
Is there some way to find out which users are being ignored, and by which other users?
I think it'd be a super-useful way for mods to identify the most disruptive elements on a forum, so if there's a way for staff to find this it'd be fab!
Has anyone written, or considered writing, a bridge between WooCommerce and XF so that people who buy a WooCommerce product can also be given a XF Account Upgrade in the process?
This would be super useful for sites which sell, say, event tickets, so that event attendees could also gain access...
Is there any way for the user to decide whether or not their account upgrades automatically renew, rather than it being an on/off setting for each single upgrade? Is there an add-on that offers this functionality?
Also, happy new year :D
I vaguely recall stumbling across an add-on which allowed users to rate the services provided by other users, but I don't seem to have bookmarked it.
Basically we've got a lot of people who do things for each other, like graphic design, proofreading and the like, and I'd like...
Me again! :D
Our forum has a $10 paywall. Or, rather, it did on IPB4. It was a simple matter to channel a new registration through the store to pick up the $10 charge and ensure it was paid before the new user had access.
I cannot for the life of me work out how to replicate this under xF. The...
I've been searching for a calendar add-on which fits our requirements, but I'm still scratching my head. Does anyone have a recommendation of an add-on which:
Provides the facility to create multiple calendars
Allows assignation of group permissions to calendars
Allows private calendars (as per...
We have a user who decided to buy an account upgrade for me to gift to another user (I know, instead of buying that user a gift certificate).
If I remove that Account Upgrade from her and add it to the intended user, will she be refunded? Will the intended user be invoiced? Or does adding an...
It would be pretty useful to me (but maybe not to everyone) to have stock levels for User Upgrades so that we can sell a limited number of certain upgrades and then a hard cut-off without manual intervention.
Example: We schedule events which require someone somewhere go pay for room hire...
Here's my problem: We were using IPB4 and we installed the Group Collaborations app. IPB4 had permissions bugs, and the app also was a bit shonky with permissions. Ultimately we uninstalled the app, which dumped all the app-controlled subforums back onto the main board with very messy...
