    Compatible XF Versions:
    • 1.2
    • 1.3
    • 1.4
    • 1.5
    What does this add-on do?
This add-on adds a discussions count field to the xf_user table and handles additions and deductions from the count when needed.

There is a built in option which allows the user to exclude selected forums from the counting process, this works exactly like the message count and is based on the XenForo option when creating/editing forums.

Discussion count can be shown in message user info by ticking the discussion count checkbox in style properties:

Admin CP -> Style Properties ->Message Elements

Once this add-on is installed you should rebuild the users cache on your site and all users discussion counts will be updated by going to:

Admin CP -> Tools -> Rebuild Caches -> Rebuild User Caches

Sometimes work, sometimes don't. The problem is with the discussion counter not being always reliable. Unfortunately the author was unable to replicate the bug but at least he tried. I have however been able to replicate the bug on stock 1.3.3 and 1.4.0 RC1 installations.

Installed due to being exactly what I was looking for. It does not work on xF 1.3, although add-on states it is compatible. After installing, posted asking about it, saw last message on Mar 29th (one week) asking for help, no reply... Hopefully add-on is still being supported and will be update. Will rate again once corrected.

Yup. Even trivial things can be useful, and this is one of them! If you have their message count showing, why not their discussion count as well?
