New Functionality: Custom Fields
Showcase now has its own Custom Fields Manager. Each field is created for a specific "zone" within an item. There are 6 Primary zones (Tabs 1-5 and a Sidebar Module). There is also a 7th zone called "self placement" in which you can edit the item template and place those fields where ever you want. Each Field can be associated to 1 or more categories (with an "all" option).
New Functionality: Rate & Review
Showcase now has 2 different Rating Systems to use Per Category. You have the option of AJAX Rating or the new Rate and Review. When you enable Rate and Review, users have the option to leave a Review which consists of a Title, Pros, Cons and a Summary. If you are going to leave a review, the Title and Summary are required (pros and cons optional). You can also set (per category) the option to Force Reviews in order to Rate an item. Items that have reviews will have a new tab called "reviews" along with the number of reviews on the tab.. ie Reviews (12). There are permissions allowing reviews to be edited, deleted and liked. Reviews are posted to the newsfeed and item owners are alerted for new reviews.
New Functionality: Category Enhancements
You can now set whether a category can have new items created in it or not. This allows for better hierarchical control of items. You can now also set which User Groups are allowed to create items for each specific category giving you finer control. I also added in the ability to set a thread prefix for the auto created discussion threads

New Option: Home Page Layout Type
There are now 3 different layout types that you can set for the Showcase Home page. They are Modular, List View and Grid. Modular is what has been default since conception. List View is just like the Categories List View (Paginated and Tabbed Sorting). Grid is a combo of Modular and List view in that visually, each item is displayed like in the Modules, but the overall layout is paginated and has Tabbed Sorting.

New Option: Category Page Layout Type
There are now 2 different layout types for Categories. List View and Grid. Currently, this applies through out, but in future version, this will be set per category giving you the option to have certain categories in List and others in Grid.

New Option: Member Page Layout Type
This is the same as Category and applies to individual Member pages.

New Option: Image Required
Added options to Modular and Grid layouts to only display items that have at least 1 attachment. If this is disabled, items without images will be displayed and a No Image place holder will appear. This option has also been added to the Node Images Block as well as the Images Block for XenPorta.
The 4 attached images are samples of the List and Grid for the Home page and Grid for the Category and Memeber pages.

The Demo on the Support site is currently running 1.1.1 (Stable)
