In spite of multiple spambot control measures (e.g. moderating posts for new members), we were still seeing daily bot registrations.... until we installed the Registration Spaminator Add-On. In the first 12 hours, it stopped 11 spambot registration attempts.

One of the least appreciated features is that it catches the spambot registration before the accounts are created which reduces the distortion of new member registrations that happens when spambots create thousands of new accounts.

This AddOn is more than worth the purchase cost.

It just works. Forums should be for humans. This takes a lot of the pain of running a forum off of your shoulders.

As a forum admin, you will constantly be at war with spam bots forever, and at some point will find the value in stopping this dead in its tracks. While it won't stop manual spam, this add-on is a great and complements XenForo's built-in protection system well. Since installing yesterday it has already blocked approx. 26 bots.

After four years running my forum I was getting a bit sick of the ever increasing number of spam bot/automated registrations but kept holding off, because you know, $30 and i'm a tight wad. Anyway, finally took the plunge and am 100% satified, this add-on is worth every single penny, my life will be so much easier. Thanks guys who made this :) Within the first 24 hours it prevented 100 registrations and I didn't even have to do anything apart from compusively check out the spaminator log every hour! :D

Amazing add-on that does what is promised. In my case, this didn't work with another addon I was using (AddOnFlare Paid Registrations) and Ozzy and Max worked over Christmas to make the two play nice. Absolutely amazing support!

Xenforo's existing features have been working well for me, holding the spammer registrations for approval, but was dealing with the nagging issue of email reputation (on Amazon SES) being negatively impacted by a small number of registrations containing invalid emails. Since installing this addon all spammer registrations have stopped, and have reduced the number of blocklists I'm using in my firewall config. Thanks for your efforts!

I've been getting hammered with SPAM registrations for months now, and having to manually reject them all (all accounts are manually approved on my site). I've just installed this, and within 10 minutes, it's already blocked 3 of them from signing up.

With this add-on, you can disable all CAPTCHA or Q&A filters. There is no need to disturb new users on the registration form so they can register with ease.

Spaminator catches those naughty spambots and screws them. And on top of that, no registration email is sent to a fake account so your email reputation will not suffer.

Highly recommended!

This is a simple, elegant solution that works. I can finally stop worrying about managing an increasingly unwieldy .htaccess file to IP ban bad actors.

This add-on is a must have. It should be an official xenforo add-on for how effective it is. I can't describe the annoyance of bots posting spam. I've had it installed for 2 weeks and it's blocked 166 bots. Not a single one signed up yet. As far as I'm concerned for $24 it's well worth it. It really works and stops bots dead in there tracks. Way to go Ozzy47.

Not sure why this addon isn't getting much love on here. This is by far the best tool to mitigate spam registrations I have ever used. Very effective and very well thought out. Keep up the great work mate!

I am already seeing major results from this add-on within mere HOURS of implementing it. This is an important add-on that all forum owners should consider purchasing.

Probably the best anti-spam add-on we've used on any forum. We originally tried out this add-on as one of the vB4 testers in 2015, blocking over 700k bots between 2015 - 2019. Since migrating to XenForo, we've sorely missed this add-on, so were pleased to see this now released for XenForo 2. Since installing on our site several weeks ago, we've seen spam immediately drop from around 10+ bots per day managing to register, with most being able to post, down to 0 successful spam bots registering or posting on our site.

For us - this add-on is a must have, and we'd strongly recommend this to anyone with an active site.
