Forum list tabs is your solution !

Easy to configure, it allows you to create tabs to split your categories into as much tabs as you want, or display threads from specific forums, watched forums, threads from watched forums or watched threads.

  • Easily create, edit, delete, reorder tab thanks to few clicks

    • Font Awesome icon
    • Type of tab:
      • Nodes: to display chosen nodes
      • Threads: to display the latest updated threads from chosen nodes with capability to limit to specific prefixes [NEW 2.1.0]
      • Watched nodes: to display the watched forums list
      • Watched nodes' threads: to display the latest updated threads from watched forums

Works well on the whole, as long as you understand it's limitations when it comes to creating tabs for categories & nodes. Specifically, it ONLY works for displaying categories as tabs - and once you click on a tab, it will display that category and all the nodes in it. It does not allow you to display only specific nodes. It does not matter if you choose to display all or only some of the nodes in a category, because it will always show ALL of them. Dev should probably just rename "nodes" to "categories" & remove the instruction in the settings to "select the nodes to be displayed" (and maybe take out the bit in the description here about displaying chosen nodes), and there would be less confusion over what functionality it's supposed to have. Other than that, works as advertised.

The perfect way to prevent a long list of nodes on your index. Looks sleek and works fine. Helps to organize your forums.

Great add-on for large forums to group multiple categories in single tab, it would also help to avoid long scrolling.

Worms good on desktop!
Mobile it cuts of the text sideways and iT should be in a dropdown i guess or iT should be possible to scroll sideways

I believe that's default behavior from tabs in every xF locations. You should be able to scroll, don't hesitate to open bug tickets if you feel some of these are.
