Changelog

Important: If you are about to upgrade from any version below Release Candidate 1, I urge you to do a clean installation. A handful of users have run into an error while upgrading that I am unable to track down and the extra work you do yourself with doing a clean installation is nothing compared to the extra work you have to perform to repair the error when you run into it, trust me.

Bugfixes & Changes
  • Fixed a bug that would insert transparent background BB codes when the background color BB code was disabled. The editor now also strips any transparent background color BB codes on HTML->BB code conversion.
  • Fixed a bug that would always strip text format on paste, even if the option was disabled in the ACP.
  • Replaced all occurrences of the thumbs up icon with the slashed eye icon for hide BB codes.
  • Fixed a bug that would break the google fonts popup on additional editor instances initialized in pages (e.g. when editing a post).
  • Now resets the font applied to the preview text back to default in the google fonts popup after submitting the form.

Bugfixes & Changes
  • Fixed a bug that would prevent users from installing the latest update if their MySQL version was 5.5 or lower. If you're still running into any trouble, please drop me a PM, so we can do a teamviewer session and work this out together.
  • Tweaked the setup file a little bit.
  • Added a handful of missing phrases.
Changelog
Bugfixes & Changes
  • Added the google fonts database table that was actually supposed to be there for the last two updates already. You probably won't need this update straight away if you aren't using the google webfonts feature, but I'd recommend to install it anyway.

    • If you're experiencing error messages after the upgrade, please head to your editor manager general settings and activate the BB codes mentioned in the error message. Once you saved them, you can safely deactivate them again. The error message(s) should be gone.
  • A large portion of the JavaScript code has been refactored to improve efficiency.
  • Most JavaScript functionality that is not required in the core has been split of to separate plugins, to improve page load time and efficiency.
  • Editor dropdowns can now properly be deleted.

    • You may now configure how many colors are shown per row. The minimum is 7, however.
    • You may now edit the colors that are shown in the editor dropdown through a basic input field. This will receive an update in the future to be a bit cleaner and easier to use.
  • An option has been added that, when activated, will remove all formatting from text pasted into the froala editor.
  • Several editor buttons are now available for dropdowns, that haven't been before.
Changelog

This update mostly focuses around fixing a bunch of critical or highly annoying errors. It is recommended to upgrade as soon as possible. Feature additions are to be expected for the next update.

Bugfixes & Changes

  • Fixed a critical bug that would prevent the custom editor configuration to load in browsers that use ECMAScript5 or older (IE11 and older).
  • Fixed a bug that would insert a line break above every table every time one would change from BB Code view to rendered view.
  • Fixed a bug that would insert a line break above and below the content of each table cell every time one would change from BB Code view to rendered view.
  • (Probably) fixed a bug that would duplicate all existing line breaks inside table cells each time one would change from BB Code view to rendered view.
  • Improved formatting of auto-generated table BB Codes.
  • Reorganized BB Code css.
  • Reformatted all BB Code help page entries for tables to make them less bloated.
  • Added additional documentation on the usage of classes for tables to the BB Code help page.
New Functionalities
  • It is now possible to activate the char counter plugin in the general Editor & BB Code Options in the ACP. This will show a character counter on the bottom right hand side of your editor.
  • You can now instruct the editor to preserve all formatting of a paragraph even if the last letter is deleted. You can (de-)activate this behaviour in the general Editor & BB Code Options in the ACP.
Changelog
Bugfixes & Changes
  • The system now no longer auto-links urls inside ParseHtml-Tags. Iframes and other tags using urls should therefor no longer become broken.

  • All hide BB Codes are now directly add-able to the editor toolbar and no longer need to be placed inside a dropdown.
  • The editor configuration setup has been moved from the frontend (users computer) to the backend (your server). This will speed up your page load time, especially on slow devices (mobile phones, etc.).
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the content of editor templates to be inserted into the editor.
  • Buttons inside the ACP layout section now utilize XenForos tooltips. It should therefor be easier to find out what buttons you're hovering.
Changelog
Bugfixes & Changes

  • Fixed an 'undefined index: class' error when using tables.
  • Fixed an 'undefined index: <font name>' error when providing a font name in the font BB code that doesn't exist.
  • Fixed an error that would prevent sorting of icons in the editor toolbar in the ACP upon save.
  • Fixed an error that would occur if the user entered a font size number higher than the maximum number available.
  • The pre-existing XF2 'Insert' dropdown and the HideInsert have been converted to the new dropdown functionality. You may need to re-add them to your toolbars in the layout section!
New Functionalities
  • You can now enable the full screen button in the ACP options to allow your users to use full screen mode.
  • Custom editor dropdowns have arrived:
    • You can define new editor dropdowns in the layout section, including their: Title, Icon & Content
