You're right. It's a young product. Perhaps I've been impatient because my copy of XF has been sitting on the shelves collecting dust because of the lack of this very feature.

If I wanted "this is how it is," then I would've gone with vB. ;)

It's been almost a year since this feature was requested. I hope this isn't a taste of things to come. I'm just about giving up on xF.

If I may, "shall" is a bit strong and legalistic. "Will" will do just fine, as in: we're glad you've joined our community and hope that you'll enjoy your stay with us. If I was writing a legal memo, I shall use shall to beat my opponent into submission. :)

I think it would be a useful feature as those who would use this are likely to already have an external blog. This would eliminate the manual effort of copying and pasting from their external blog, and thereby making it easy for these users to expose their content to a different audience.

We run a forum where new registrations must be manually approved by an admin or moderator. Is there an option to notify admins/moderators via email when new users register? As a young forum that's not being moderated all the time, it would be very helpful to know via email when new users...

I look forward to implementing this on our forum. Please excuse me if this is already answered somewhere: would it be possible for members to import their own RSS feeds from their external blogs and display them in the Blog Entries tab?

What's the template where I can edit out the RSS icon? As the forum is behind a password wall, I'm not too worried about the feeds being visible to people who shouldn't be reading them.

It turns out that because the site is behind a password wall, the feeds are password protected and most RSS readers don't handle this. Any way to complete remove the RSS icon from the forum nodes?

Hmmm...my site is private at the moment. I'll have a chat with my dev guy later today and see what he thinks is wrong. Maybe he just needs to flip a switch somewhere. I'll get back to you on this. Thanks.
