Who has experience in using Posterous (compared to Wordpress)?

A bit in relation to this thread: http://xenforo.com/community/thread...ogs-and-forums.2108/

I am just thinking about a future project I want to setup and what would be the best way to handle blogging on that platform. Unfortunately XenForo doesn't come with any Blog solution, so at the moment I am unable to switch to it (for both this new project and my current 9-year old vBulletin 3.8 powered website).

People like James for example are very enthusiastic about Wordpress: http://xenforo.com/community/thread...02/page-3#post-30910 and so are many, many other people.

What I see is that some of my acquaintances now use Posterous instead of Wordpress and I see a lot of raving reviews about it from people who actually find it much more easier/convenient to use compared to Wordpress. I am talking about the user-point-of-view who just wants to blog in the easiest way possible, so not about all the technical bells and whistles and background stuff.

I have never used this Posterous thing before but I have been an avid user of Wordpress for quite some time so I'll offer my two cents. As an occasional blogger, I prefer control over my content. Wordpress offers me that. It's maintained well, and has a very good reputation. It's easy to use, and also has the tools for more advanced situations. It can be used as a complete CMS, or just a blog. I have no complaints about it. :D
