I'm not sure if this was overlooked or intentional, but perhaps this should use a XenForo tooltip for consistency?

I believe this has been suggested before and there were reasons why the current approach is used in favour of a tooltip.

I shall attempt to find the thread.
 
Erich, that would be a separate suggestion and not related to this. On that note, browser tool tips are used elsewhere in XenForo.
