Description:

This add-on is designed to remove or change BBCode tags from messages.

How it works:

When a message is saved, this add-on will remove and or change BBCode tags.

Installation:
  1. Download bbcodeparser_v1.5.zip and unzip it.
  2. Upload the Andy folder to your server. The correct location will be library/Andy.
  3. From your Admin Control Panel, go to the "Install Add-on" page.
  4. Upload the addon-BBCodeParser_v1.5.xml file.
  5. Click the Install Add-on button.

There wasn't a lot of complicated set up: i just installed the add on and it did exactly what I needed it to do.

As it says: When a message is saved (or even edited and then re-saved), this add-on will remove undesired BB Code tags.

All you need to do is choose which BBCode tags you don't want your users trying to deploy in their posts.

To see it work, is almost magic! Once migrated from vB over to XF, I would occasionally see evidence of some FONT and SIZE tags. All I had to do was click Edit, then click Save. DONE.

I would have to rate this addon one of your top ten. It's great. It makes it so easy to remove colors from text and to left indent photos. I feel sorry for the folks out there that don't know about this addon. It saves me so much time. As I find a posting that needs fixing all I have to do is open it and then click save. It's easier to use then brushing your teeth.
